Thinking about kinship and difference, I use my artistic practice to locate a cathartic meeting

place that, existing between body/material, is both informative and remedial. My experience

of chronic illness stimulates my understanding of fragility and resilience and through

practices of making and writing, I translate my personal experiences into new

understandings of matter and ethics.

The exploration of vulnerability grounds my practice and I am particularly interested in how it

unfolds across our physical and digital states of being. By moving material from the physical

world into the digital and back again, I consider our ‘post-digital’ condition and how culture is

produced and maintained by non/human forces. I experiment with ideas of de/construction;

fraying, folding, splitting and ripping to unweave the idea of the unified, stable self and give

form to the multiplicity of our bodily nature.
